Mr. Clarence Leroy Griffin, 80 of Perkinston died Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at his residence.

Mr. Griffin was a member of First United Methodist Church in Wiggins. He was a Sr. Master Sgt for 22 years in the U.S. Airforce; a retired mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service; a member and former Secretary Past Master of Wiggins Masonic Lodge #481; and a member of Miriam Chapter Order of Eastern Star.

Survivors include his wife, Opal Lynn Griffin of Perkinston; two sons, Robert W. Griffin of Perkinston and John P. Griffin of Austin, Texas; five grandchildren; two step grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and one sister, Carolyn Williams of Corinth.

Funeral services were held Friday, January 1, 2010 at Moore Funeral Home in Wiggins followed by a graveside service and interment in Divide Methodist Protestant Church Cemetery in Monticello.

Moore Funeral Home in Wiggins was in charge of arrangements.
