Nr. Norman Clyde McLeod Jr., age 90, died Sat., Sept. 15, 2012 in Wiggins.
Mr. McLeod was born May 22, 1922 in Hillsdale to Norman Clyde and Colie Harper McLeod. He graduated from Wiggins High School in 1940 and attended Perkinston Junior College. He worked for Newton Naval Stores and Wiggins Lumber Company until his retirement at the age of 82.
His wife of 66 years, Frances Dunnam McLeod; his parents; his brother, Robert M. McLeod; and his sister, Dora Nell Smith, all preceded him in death.
Survivors include his daughter, Ginny McLeod (Alfred) Parker of Wiggins; two sons, Norman Clyde McLeod III of Mendenall and Daniel F. (Candice) McLeod Sr. of Laurel; eight grandchildren, Ouida Parker (Jamie) Holland of Lucedale, Richard Parker of Wiggins, Teresa Parker (Jeremiah) Johnson of Wiggins, Andrew (Amanda) Parker of Wiggins, Karen McLeod (Blake) Benton of Braxton, Jonathan McLeod of Mendenhall, Josie McLeod (Justin) Owens of Lumberton, Daniel F. McLeod Jr. of Laurel; eight great grandchildren; sister, Louis McLeod; and nephew, Charles (Tracy) Smith of Wiggins.
Funeral services were held Mon., Sept. 17 at Moore Funeral Home Chapel. Interment followed in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Pallbearers were grandsons and grand sons-in-law. Honorary pallbearers were Wayne Wood of Jackson, Bobby Anderson of Wiggins and former employees of Wiggins Lumber Company.
