Mr. Clifton D. Armstrong, 57 of Wiggins, died Sat., April 5, 2014 at his residence.
Mr. Armstrong was a graduate of Forrest County Agricultural School in Brooklyn. After school, he enlisted in the United States Army for several years. He was employed at McDermott Shipyard in New Orleans. He later returned home, where he became a member of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church.
He is survived by his daughter, Cassandra Silas of Edgard, La.; grandson, Alton J. Sarrazin III of Edgard; devoted friend, Cheryl Martin; extended Evans and James Jordan families all of Wiggins; sisters, Sadie Earleen Armstrong-Crockrum of Memphis, Tenn. and Velma (Rev. Roger) Mitchell of Tulsa, Okla.; brothers, Roscoe (Clothide) Armstrong, Harry T. (Sanether) Armstrong, Jessie C. Armstrong, all of Wiggins and Lee O. (Mary) Armstrong of Poplarville; and aunt, Overleen Fairley of Gulfport.
Funeral services were held Saturday at St. Paul Baptist Church. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
Owens-Ramey Funeral Services in Wiggins was in charge of arrangements.
