Mr. Ottice Alvin Moore Jr, 88 of Wiggins, died peacefully at home on Thurs., April 17, 2014.
Ott was born April 10, 1926 in Stillmore. He was a lifelong resident of Stone County. He was an active member of First Baptist Church of Wiggins, where he served as head usher for more than 30 years. He was a World War II Veteran and was a lifetime member of the Wiggins Lodge #481 F&AM.
He and his brother operated the Texaco Station in Wiggins for more than 20 years. He also worked at Brown-Miller Pickle Company and Mississippi Forestry Commission.
His father, Ottice Alvin Moore Sr.; mother, Janie Jane Coker Moore; stepmother, Doyle Lott Moore; and one sister, Dorothy Moore Strickland, all preceded him in death.
He is survived by his loving and faithful wife of 67 years, Annie Rose Hatten Moore of Wiggins; three sons, Glen (Kathy) Moore of Wiggins, Dennis (Ann) Moore of Vicksburg and Don (Charlotte) Moore of Biloxi; seven grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; brother, Lavon (Mildred) Moore of Perkinston; two sisters, Alice Lott Loper of Perkinston and Dorothy Lott (Jerry) Blankinchip of Wiggins.
Funeral services were held Mon., April 21 at Moore Funeral Home in Wiggins. Interment followed in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Moore Funeral Home in Wiggins was in charge of arrangements.
