Mr. James Decatur Bond, 79 of Wiggins, died Fri., April 18, 2014 in Wiggins.
Mr. Bond was born on Christmas and welcomed home on Good Friday. He retired from Ingalls/Northrup Grumman after 33 years of service. He was a hard working man and was known as a wonderful father, loving husband and good friend. His good humor, kind heart and loving nature made him very special to all that knew him.
His two brothers, Coy and Charles Bond, both of Perkinston; and other loved ones dear to him, preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Eva L. Bond of Wiggins; two sons, James Mitchell Bond of Hattiesburg and James Dwayne Bond of Perkinston; four daughters, Edith Sanders of Vancleave, Nelly Bates of Wiggins, Rita Yarcho of Bellvill, Ill. and Ancie Bond of Gautier; and one brother, Dean Bond Sr.
He will be missed by his grandchildren, great grandchildren and a host of relatives, friends and neighbors.
The family will receive friends at 1 p.m. until service time on Wed., April 23 at Big Level Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday at the church with interment following in Big Level Baptist Church Cemetery.
Moore Funeral Home in Wiggins is in charge of arrangements.
