Post-season Tomcat heroics fall short
For the second consecutive season, Coach Kevin Conard’s Tomcats have seen post season action. Stone managed to finish in third place in a field of seven behind East Central and Vancleave and just ahead of Forrest County. The Tomcats slipped to third in the final week of regular season play after dropping a pair of games to the Moss Point Tigers. The final game of the regular season was played at home against Moss Point. Stone played catch up all night but fell short with a final score of 9 – 7. Kale Hatten smashed his first homer of the year and added a double as well. Kris Rouse had a pair of hits also. Senior night festivities also took place before the final game. The Tomcats will graduate six seniors this year, four of which have inked to play ball next year with Gulf Coast. Also recognized were the “behind the scenes crew”, The Tomcat Diamond Girls.
