Thomas L. Baggett

Mr. Thomas Lafayette Baggett 86 of Wiggins passed away on Sunday, December 27, 2009 at his residence.

Mr. Baggett was born in Perkinston on May 16, 1923. He was a World War II Veteran and a Purple Heart recipient; he was also a retired plant supervisor and a member of Vardaman Street Baptist Church.

Survivors include one son, Thomas J. Baggett and wife Jan of Wiggins; one daughter, Margaret B. Bounds of Wiggins; one sister, Nora McInnis of Macon, Ga.; grandchildren, Keith Baggett of Hendersonville, Tenn., Ryan Baggett of Jackson, Jeremy Screws of Chattanooga, Tenn., Hally Boutwell of Wiggins, Steve Bounds of Midland, Mi., Craig Bounds of Valdosta, Ga., and Lisa B. Kole of Wiggins; great grandchildren, Caitlin and Trevor Bounds, Zachary and Matthew Bounds, Julianna and Jacob McCarty, Megan and Holly Kole, Katelyn, Kaleb and Kendall Baggett of Tenn., and Kelsey Newman of Wiggins, and Noah-Clark and Breinly Screws; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, December 30 at Moore Funeral Home Chapel followed by interment in Woodlawn Cemetery.
