A pair of Wiggins residents are in trouble with the law after a search warrant turned up more than 150 grams of synthetic cannabinoid, known on the street as spice, was found in their home.
"We got a search warrant for 1987 Hwy. 26, Lot 3 after we received several anonymous tips that the residents at that address had been selling spice," said Stone/Wiggins Narcotics Task Force Capt. Jay Green. "We seized more than 150 grams of the drug packaged for sale in 10-gram bags."
Kelcee McDonald, a 19-year-old Wiggins resident, arrived on scene as the task force was executing the search warrant.
She was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.
The task force is also seeking the whereabouts of 31-year-old Bobby Tio Kelly.
Green said McDonald had sent a text to Kelly warning him not to come home because of the presence of law enforcement officers.
"We would appreciate anyone with knowledge of Kelly's whereabouts calling Crime Stoppers," Green said.
Tips can be called in to 888-313-8477 or a text can be sent to 274637.
Text tips should include, "CSTIP," before the rest of the message is entered.
