Mrs. Donna Tapper Dixon, 56 of Stone County, was called home to be with the Lord on Nov. 15, 2013. The angels received a very special angel that day.
Donna was born Nov. 10, 1957 in Jackson County. She is deeply loved by her family and friends. Her smile was affectionately known by many. She loved baking cookies and sharing them with family and friends. Everyone enjoyed “cookie day” with Donna. She loved her husband and children deeply and the twinkle of her eyes is grandson, Aiden. She will be greatly missed by all. Donna was a GED graduate of Moss Point High School Class of 1975 and a member of Big Level Baptist Church of Wiggins. She worked for Stone County School system in the cafeteria as a sub, and then went full time as a cashier for 20 years. The children loved Mrs. Donna. Every child that passed through the line had to hug her. She loved each and every one of those children over the years. They will miss her also. She worked with a wonderful group of ladies and they will have to carry on without her. But know she is there in spirit.
She is survived by her husband, Dickie Dixon of Stone County; two sons, Rickey (Marleaha) Dixon of Saucier and Andy Dixon of Stone County; one special grandson, Aiden; mother, Linda Coleman Tapper; father, Norman A. (Joan) Tapper; sisters, Cindy (Mike) Stockman of Pascagoula, Ann and Lenay Dixon of Moss Point, Charlene Tapper of Moss Point; brothers, Lonnie Tapper of French Camp, Norman W. Tapper of Moss Point, Kenneth (LaMondra) Tapper of Moss Point; brother-in-law, Frank (Thelma) Dixon of Moss Point; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and a multitude of friends.
