Nick Georgian, a 2011 graduate of Stone High School, has been inducted into the Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College athletic Hall of Fame.
A tennis player who was coached at Stone by Freddie Wegner and Wynn Alexander, Georgian was a four-time state champion for Bulldogs coach Gary Bourgeois.
Georgian, the son of Pete and Violet Georgian of Wiggins, won two Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges singles titles and two doubles titles during his career at MGCCC, which spanned 2011-13.
Georgian received his associate’s degree from MGCCC, a bachelor of science degree from William Carey University and a master’s of divinity degree from Emory University.
He and his wife, Aubrey, reside in Rome, Ga., where he is the pastor at Rush Chapel United Methodist Church.
