If you have children or grandchildren in grades K-2, the American Red Cross and the Mississippi Aquarium are offering a special, free virtual program this Friday, September 17, at 3:30 p.m.

In recognition of National Preparedness Month, this 30-minute program called “Prepare with Pedro” will teach youngsters to “be prepared” and “take action” in times of emergencies like house fires and hurricanes. It will open with our volunteers doing a “Prepare with Pedro: Hurricanes” story and finish with a visit from the Mississippi Aquarium's Ambassador Penguin.

This event is absolutely free and completely virtual, which means youngsters will participate from home – wherever they live - through their computer or tablet. But registration is required so presenters can send a link to the virtual program.

Registration is simple: visit the following link: tinyurl.com/preparewithPedroMSAquarium for the registration form.
