Arionna Galloway, a senior at Stone High School, signed a letter of intent last Tuesday committing to play softball at Meridian Community College.
Meridian Community College is a member of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) and the Mississippi Association of Community & Junior Colleges (MACJC). Galloway will join the Lady Eagles softball team who finished their 2019 season with a 23-19 record and is led by Head Coach Faith Robinson.
Galloway has been a member of the Stone High School Softball team for four years and has played for the Gulf Coast Shockers for one year.
While on the field, Galloway is a valuable competitor in the center field position and at the plate.
While playing for the Lady Cats at Stone High School, she earned titles such as “Most Improved,” “Captain’s Honors,” as well as First-Team All District in Region 8-5A.
Galloway maintains a 3.7 GPA and intends to pursue a major in Business Administration.
“The future is bright for our #7, Arionna Galloway, and we are looking forward to seeing where this next step takes her.” said Lady ’Cats softball coach Savanah Scarborough,.
“I’m so excited to be a Lady Eagle,” Galloway said.
