Agayla Walters

Mrs. Agayla “A. J.” Pearl Jane Nichols Walters of the Janice Community in Perry County, Mississippi passed away on September 24, 2021. She was born in Hattiesburg, Mississippi on September 30, 1976.

A.J. was 44 years old and is survived by her husband of 25 years, Sean Walters; two daughters, Elisabeth Walters and Brittany Walters; two brothers, William “Billy” Nichols and Dave Nichols; one sister, Penny Corn as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.  She was preceded in death by her father, David Henry Nichols Sr., her mother, Patricia Nichols Bayse; two children, Megan Allanis Walters and William Curtis Walters; and a brother, James Daniel Nichols.

A.J. was a member of Carnes Landmark Baptist Church and was an employee of Forrest County Agricultural High School and was a devoted wife and mother.

A.J. loved with all of her heart and if you knew her you loved her. She was always ready with a compliment, kind word, or encouragement to everyone she met. 

Her wish was for God to be honored and glorified by her life even through sickness or death. She was very loved and will be missed by many.  Her favorite saying was “Today is a good day for a good day”.

Funeral services were held Saturday, October 2, 2021 at Moore Funeral Service in Wiggins with burial that followed in Janice Cemetery.
