Charles E. Williams Sr. of Wiggins was born on April 12, 1937 and went home to be with the Lord on Friday, October 8, 2021 at the age of 84.  Mr. Williams was a member of Paramount Baptist Church.  In his early years, he was an electrician by trade before establishing Charles Williams Logging in 1976.   Also, he served on the Stone County School Board for twelve years.

Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his loving wife of 54 years, Barbara Williams, his father, Leroy Benjamin “Red” Williams, mother, Marie Williams, brother, McArthur Williams and son-in-law, Paul Davis.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 9 years, Betty Clayton Williams of Wiggins; four daughters, Judy Davis of Perkinston, Paula Prickett (John) of Perkinston, Vonda Ford (Johnny) of Wiggins, Sharon Windham (Mike) of Wiggins; one son, Charles Williams Jr. (Dianna) of Wiggins; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; Two sisters, Margaret White of Wiggins and Linda Breland of Gulfport.

Funeral services were held Sunday, October 10, 2021.  The burial followed in the Paramount Church Cemetery.
