Christine Berry

Mrs. Ila Christine Cooper Berry was born September 27, 1926 to the late Chevis and Dorothy Fairley Cooper and departed this life on October 1, 2021 in Wiggins, Mississippi.

She was better known as Aunt Christine to so many people.  She was member of Word of Live Revival Center in Wiggins and was always praying for her friends and family.  She was always dressed to kill, as you may say because she wanted to look her best at all times. People can remember her by having her hair always to a tee. She loved people bragging on how beautiful she was and how pretty her hair was. That was just “Aunt Christine”.

Since she never had children, she loved her nieces and nephews as her own. She will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Berry; her brothers, Chevis L. Cooper Jr., Billy D. Cooper; her sisters, Bobbie J. Williamson, Omarie C. King; niece, Brenda Bond and nephew, Robert King.

She is survived by nieces, Geralda (John) McLendon, Karen (Ronnie) Reeves, Michelle (Nevalin) Littlefield, Lyndol (Matthew) Langsford, Renee (Ed) Goff; nephews, Austin (Linda) Cooper, David (Shannon) Cooper, Donald (Susan)King, Darryl (Mary) King, Hollis Cooper, Thomas “Cotton” (Tracy) Williamson, Eddie (Cindy) Williamson and host of great and great- great nieces and nephews.

Aunt Christine also had special friends as close as her family that she loved dearly. Our thanks go out to them for their love, Jean Bardwell, Lita Parker and Vicki Bass was dear to her and our family.

Also, thanks for all the love and support given to her by Encompass Hospice Care they too have become our family.

Please keep our family in your prayers during this difficult time.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at Woodlawn Cemetery.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  Moore Funeral Service in Wiggins is in charge of the arrangements.
