David Sicard

On Wednesday, June 12, 2019, David Roy "GreenTree" Sicard, loving father of two children, Pawpaw to one beautiful granddaughter, and best friend to Otis, his dog, went to be with the Lord at the age of 62. David was born to the parents of Joseph Roy Sicard and Marianne Bragg Sicard on April 10, 1957, in New Orleans, La. He graduated from Stone High School in 1975 and joined the Electrical Union 903 Local IBEW where he worked as an electrician.  David had a passion for hunting, fishing, history, entertaining adventures, and the sea. He was a die-hard Saints and LSU fan where he collected an abundance of memorabilia. He was an avid music lover of genres that matched his soul and taste for generosity and a collector of all "trinkets." He was a master cook; particularly with seafood. He was known for his swift wit, his infectious smile, his endless stories, and mostly his kind spirit. David was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Roy Sicard.  He is survived by his two children, Michael David Sicard and Alyssa Marie Stuart (Dr. Jeffery Sloan); his mother, Marianne Bragg Sicard; his beloved sister, Lisa Sicard (Mike) Woolsey; his nephew, Michael Lee Woolsey; his granddaughter, Mary Grace Stuart; several cousins, aunts, uncles and many lifetime friends. A celebration of life service will be held 5-7 p.m. on Friday, August 16, at the Sunflower Community Center in Stone County.

May God lookout for you because after this earthly journey it's all in God's hands now! As Jimmy Buffett said once, "Why do we ride the carousel? For the stories we can tell!" We had some stories my friend. Hope to see you on the other side. Adios amigo and thanks for the years together. Vaya con Dios amigo
