Mrs. Ethel Lea Ladner, 92, Carnes Community, went to be with her Lord and Savior on September 24, 2021 at residence surrounded by her family. She was a faithful member of Elder Ridge Baptist Church and was a nurse but most of all she was a friend to all.

She was reunited in Heaven with her husband, James Calvin Ladner, a daughter, Martha Ladner; her grandson, Rasy R. Ladner; her parents, Rasy R. and Pearlie Smith Johnson; her siblings, Aaron Johnson, Doris Cameron, Betty O’Neal, Tharon Johnson, Arthur Johnson, Barbara Aaron and two infant brothers.

She leaves behind to cherish her memories are her two sons, James C. “Jim” Ladner (Lynne) of Pistol Ridge and Randy Ladner (Cathy) of Carnes; ten grandchildren, Christie L. Walker, William R. Ladner Jr., Brandy L. Ladner, Chester W. Walker, Leta C. Milloway, Duyane Wood, Joshua J. Ladner, Jennifer Bird, Donna L. Lee and Ronda L. Woods; seventeen great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

Graveside services were held Monday, September 27, 2021 at Seal Cemetery. Moore Funeral Service in Wiggins was in charge of the arrangements.
