Fanny Keys

Fanny Lou Keys was born on October 13, 1926 to Charles (Duck) Lewis Keys and Velma Jean (Green) Keys in Lima, OK.

She departed this life on August 17, 2020 in Wiggins, MS, at the age of 93. Fanny and her family moved to Foyil, OK, in 1928. She was baptized April 15, 1956, in Claremore, OK, at Memorial Heights Baptist Church, and was a member of Washington Baptist Church. At the time of her baptism, Washington Church had no baptistry.

Fanny is survived by her only daughter, Okema (Okie) Faye Rempel, of Wiggins, MS, and her husband Charles Paul Rempel; three grandchildren, Kimberly Woodall of Gautier, MS, Kevin Rempel and wife Amber Rempel of St. Martin, MS, Shellie Martin and husband Shane Martin of McHenry, MS; 10 Great-Grandchildren, and her sisters, Dodie Mayes of Claremore, OK, Daisy Ward of Foyil, OK, and her sister-in-law, Juanita Keys of Claremore, OK.

She is preceded in death by her sister, Jean Lively and her brother, Sam Keys.

Fanny’s biggest joy was being surrounded by her family. She was known by her big smile and for her kind, warm heart. She was loved by all everywhere she lives.

Living with Polio caused her to be crippled at a young age. She is now enjoying running with Jesus, her Savior, friends, and family. We can only imagine. Moore Funeral Service in Wiggins is in charge of the arrangements.
