John McQuagge

John Read McQuagge, 57, of Wiggins, passed away July 7, 2021. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Wiggins. He worked at Hattiesburg Health and Rehab. He was a 1982 graduate of Stone High School and a 1988 graduate of USM with a Sports Medicine Degree. During his younger years, he grew up on the Perkinston Campus of Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College. He was the assistant athletic trainer for the 1984 National Football Championship, an Eagle Scout, and received the Bronze Palm. Reads life was his family, he loved his sister, his nieces and his nephews, and his friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, John C. McQuagge and Mary Linda (Read) McQuagge.

He is survived by his sister, Moira Aultman (Tim) of Wiggins; nieces and nephews, Mindy Smith (Danielle) of Collinsville, MS, Matthew Smith (Steph) of Wiggins, Andrew Aultman (LeeAnn) of TN, Ryan Aultman (Irene) of Petal, numerous great-nieces and nephews, and other family members.

A Gathering of Friends was held on July 10, 2021, at First United Methodist Church. Moore Funeral Service in Wiggins was in charge of the arrangements.
