Sue Harmond

Sue Pierce Harmond age 68, of Wiggins, Mississippi, passed away at her home Friday, June 10, 2022.  Mrs. Harmond was born on February 16, 1954, in Rochester, Indiana, to the late Allen W. Pierce and Betty Jean Pierce.  She enjoyed watching her boys and grandchildren participate in sports, tailgating at Mississippi State, and watching baseball. Mrs. Harmond was a Scout Leader for the Cub Scouts of America, active in the Stone County Babe Ruth Baseball program, and long-term substitute teacher for Stone County Schools. Through all of these activities, Sue made a positive impact on thousands of Stone county youth over the last 32 years. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Survivors include her loving husband of 49 years, John S. Harmond of Wiggins; their sons, Justin Allen Harmond of Senoia, GA, and David Henry (Kara) Harmond of Hattiesburg. Sue leaves a legacy of six grandchildren: McKinley Harmond, Connor Harmond, Ava Harmond, Ruby Harmond, Lily Harmond and Emma Kate Harmond, with other extended family members including Sherry Fowlkes, Jerry Pierce, Don Pierce and Sarah Harmond. Her final wishes were to be creamated, which her family is honoring. No services are planned at this time and in lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in her honor to the charity of your choice. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Harmond family in their time of need, asking everyone to keep them in your thoughts and prayers over the coming days.
